    Corresponde a más del 60% de los niños con migraña. Pueden aparecer síntomas prodrómicos 24h antes del inicio del dolor: sensación de hambre/sed, bostezos, tristeza, hipersensibilidad a la luz/ruido, irritabilidad…
    Típicamente se inicia entre los 6-10 años (predominantemente varones).
    El dolor se localiza a nivel bifrontal o bitemporal.
    Los episodios son breves, incluso inferiores a 1 hora, que normalmente finalizan cuando el niño se duerme.
